The Pink Society Tripod of Lin Lindseth, Kimberly Zambrello and Dave Razzari made a weekend trip to New York City in early November 2017. A great time with three friends hanging out, laughing, eating great food and capped off with enjoying several stellar California wines. These were brought to share with the group. The 2010 cNagy Garey Ranch pinot noir started it off. This Santa Maria Valley gem by Clarissa Nagy displayed Santa Rosa plum, mushroom and pomegranate characteristics. Next up was a 2012 Jonata Estate "Todos" syrah from Ballard Canyon in Santa Ynez Valley. A rhone styled bruiser with notes of smoked brisket, fennel and black plum. The 2009 Laurel Glen cabernet from Sonoma Mountain was enjoyed in Sideways style under the table at Katz's Deli as the soy sauce, tobacco and blackberry wafted from the water glasses. Wine of the weekend was the 2014 Scratch Cabernet from the Santa Cruz Mountains enjoyed at Beauty & Essex club. This was silky and loved by all with juniper, black cherry and milk chocolate notes. A stunner!
